Hi everyone — happy new year!

January is typically the busiest time of the year for us — job seekers are quickly gearing up for applications (especially if Q4’24 wasn’t as fruitful as some had hoped), while companies typically have the most amount of open headcount.

Thus, today — here are a few resources, especially for upcoming job applicants.

1) Our free resume templates here. They’re designed based on what works the best across companies. Naturally, there may be differences vs. what you’re using now — if you have questions, just respond to me directly on this email!

2) To optimize resume snippets, check out past insights — e.g., how to show impact.

3) “Oops
.I just realized I don’t have meaty or relevant experiences to even put on my resume”. It’s not too late — the biggest misconception is that only formal work experiences count on your resume. Nope. Formal work XP is just a proxy to show you can do the work. If you have other proxies (e.g., you coded your own app, competed in case competitions, or took on ‘informal’ industry projects) — they can work just as well.

Example of a resume write-up leveraging industry projects, which frankly works better than most ‘formal’ internship write-ups:

We’re working with AI/Tech/FMCG companies in Singapore to collect industry projects & give them to candidates hungry for experience on their resumes. If that’s you, simply respond to this email with “I’d like to know more about the hands-on industry projects”, and we’ll be in touch within 48 hours.

Best,
